HOW DO I....
Obtain A Repeat Prescription?
If you are on long-term medication you will be given a repeat prescription card. To get your prescription tick the items that you need and give your card into the surgery, or post it with a stamped, addressed envelope, if you wish it to be posted to you. Please give 48 hours' notice. If you do run out of medicine your chemist will be able to give you a few days' supply without a prescription.
Please try not to ask for repeat prescriptions during a home visit as the computer is not available and this can lead to error and inaccurate records.
We regret that telephone requests cannot be accepted as these block the telephone lines for more urgent calls. We also regret that prescriptions cannot be telephoned to chemists as this carries a potential risk of error. Some local chemists operate a prescription collection service - ask your chemist for details.
Please remember to give TWO complete working days' notice for your repeat prescriptions.
